Blended Learning Podcast

Blended learning is a type of learning that combines face-to-face instruction with online learning that allows the student to have some control over content and pacing. Blended learning is the cornerstone of my Innovation Plan, and I recently had the opportunity to sit down with 3 amazing classmates in the Applied Digital Learning program at Lamar University who are also implementing blended learning into their classrooms and innovation plans. The most incredible thing about blended learning is that it not only creates flexibility and choice for students but for educators as well. The panelists in the podcast represent a variety of educational backgrounds from middle school, high school, career tech and non-traditional drop-out prevention and credit recovery high school, and blended learning is able to transform learning in all of those different areas and subjects. In the podcast, we discuss our innovation plans and our reasons for why we are so passionate about implementing blended learning.

We were also joined by a very special guest, Stephanie Noll, who has been in education for over 20 years and was recently recognized as one of the 3 finalists for New Mexico 2022 Teacher of the Year. She shares about her teaching style and how she incorporates authentic learning experiences in her classroom.

Many of the panelist have an ePortfolio that details their journey into blended learning, so please check out their biographies below if you want to learn more.
